Thanksgiving is just around the corner and it brings with it more emphasis on gratitude and thankfulness. Gratitude and thankfulness play a huge role in bringing abundance into ones life. I am blown away at how many blessings have chased me down this year. A year in which the world was more chaotic than usual. I see my family gathering at the dinner table each evening and am reminded how blessed I truly am. It is just one of the many things that I am incredible grateful for. I look at the current circumstances and reflect on how so very different they were just a year ago, even more different the year prior. What is the secret sauce to this success? When reflecting, I gathered the one thing that made the largest difference and had the most influenced on circumstantial change in my life to date was the application of gratitude daily. It is a total game changer for attaining an abundant elevated life.

Here are a few ways to creating more gratitude in your life.

  1. Challenge yourself daily to see the glass as half full, not half empty. In other words. Look for what's going right in your life. Try not to focus on that which is going wrong.

  2. Bless and be grateful for all your interactions with others daily. Don't compare yourself to others who you think might have it better than you. That will create feelings of dissatisfaction which is the opposite of gratitude.

  3. Acknowledge what is actually working in your life and be thankful. This will create more of things to be thankful for.

  4. Make it a daily habit to show gratitude for things in your life. They can be small or big things. Take a moment out to reflect and acknowledge

  5. Use the comparison technique. Compare how worse off you could really have it then be grateful for where you are now.

  6. Use reminders to stay in a grateful state. These would be plaques, pictures, and words placed around your home. Reading motivational quotes are helpful too. Immerse yourself in the practice of gratitude and thankfulness every chance you get.

  7. Fake it till you make it. Practice gratitude until it becomes a part of who you are. Even if it seems a little fake at first. You will start to feel true gratitude and change coming from the inside out which will allow you to become the essence of grateful.

  8. Stay aware and live in the moment. Use your five senses to fully apprehend what is happening for you that you could be grateful for.

  9. See yourself as a grateful person. Acknowledge that you are a thankful person and someone worthy of abundance and the flow of all good things coming to you.

  10. Look for new things to be grateful daily. When your focus is on drawing in that which you are to be grateful for in your life, they will come swiftly and easily to you.

What are a few things you are grateful for this fall season?
